Day 6 – 27-02-2025

The journey from Svolvær to Tromsø is planned to be a relaxed day. We started leisurely at 9 AM and drove along the Lofoten Islands towards the north. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate – we encountered fog and drizzle – but we still stopped at a few beautiful photo spots and even flew our drone for some cool shots. There was even a small waterfall along the road.

For lunch, we stopped and refueled at House of Burger. We treated ourselves to delicious taco wraps and skinny fries. During the drive, we kept encountering some of the other teams, and we always greet each other when we see someone. Although we didn’t see any orcas, we did spot a submarine quite close to the shore at Bogen.

Another stop was at one of the memorials for the Battle of Narvik, where we took photos and made a much-needed toilet break – luckily, we had disinfectant wipes to make the outhouse toilet more bearable.

Today’s challenge was to swap co-drivers for 30 kilometers. We swapped with the romanian Team #29 and had a very pleasant ride together.

After more landscape photos, we arrived in Tromsø at 6 PM. After the long drive, we treated ourselves to a cozy dinner at a local brasserie, where we tried reindeer burgers. The evening ended at the Ølhalle (beer hall) in Tromsø, where we met with the other teams and reflected on the day and enjoyed some local Norwegian beer (and bailey-coffee)

Today, we drove a total of 432 kilometers and spent about 9 hours in the car, including the many stops.
