Day 16 – 09.03.2025: The last day of our rally

After a very noisy night, our last day of the rally began in Poznań at 8:30 AM. The first half hour took us through small roads until we reached the highway, from where we headed towards Hamburg. This last section of the journey was allowed on the highway, and we entered Germany on the “Autobahn der Freiheit.“
On the way, we made a short stop at a rest area and were lucky to meet Team #24. Together, we exchanged stories and thoughts about the soon-to-end rally.
We were well on time and decided to stop shortly before the finish line to decorate our car with balloons and pinwheels. We had specially bought these the night before in a Polish supermarket to create a festive finish.

With joy but also a bit of melancholy, we approached the finish line. There, we were warmly welcomed by family, friends, and colleagues. The SAC had prepared a great reception for the teams, including hot dogs and drinks. It was a grand moment when we crossed the finish line and later received our medal and certificate. We then chatted with some of the other teams and our friends and family.

We even made the weather forcast for Hamburg (watch till the end).
We finished in 23rd place and were overjoyed with the great time, the immense support, and the fact that we exceeded our donation goal of 5000 euros by 50 euros. A big THANK YOU to everyone who supported us! Together with SGB IT we increased the amount to 7804 euros – exactly 1 euro per kilometer driven.

In total, we covered 7804 kilometers in 16 days, visited fantastic places, met nice new people, and created many unforgettable memories.
It was an adventure we will never forget, and we are grateful for every single experience we had on this journey.
